Okeechobee Fishing Guides
Hot Weather and even HOTTER Fishing!
The summer weather is upon us, the morning bite is so important this time of the year. The shoal, Kings Bar, Horse Island and surrounding areas are great areas for the shad spawn therefore these are the areas where the fish will congregate in the morning hours to feed on the shad fry. Once the sun comes up fish can still be found in deeper areas and some schooling fish can be found for those who are willing to hunt for them. These fish can be caught on shallow running crank baits, chatter baits, spinner baits, and rattle trap type baits. The deeper areas of the lake such as the canals and the Kissimmee River will produce fish as well on crank baits, shaky head and carolina rig. The shiner fishing is still good as well we have been catching some big fish in some of the deeper areas of the lake with large wild shiners. Summer time is often the best time of the year to feel like you have this 750 square mile lake to your self because there are a lot less people down from up north down here. Come on down and enjoy some time on the water catching fish with Okeechobee Fishing Guides! Call today to book your trip ASAP 863-357-0892 OkeechobeeBassFishing.com
