Lake Okeechobee Fishing Guides
The Hellerman’s fished with Lake Okeechobee Fishing Guides and caught a TON of fish today! The warming weather and shad spawn have the fish-eating voraciously! Through the month of March, the weather and wind will have an effect on the bite. If we get light winds and can get out on the lake the bite will be awesome. If the wind picks up it will make fishing out in the lake nearly impossible due to the waves. The crappie have still been eating like crazy and are being caught on jigs as well as minnows. The bluegill and shell cracker have also been showing up in shallow water and they will also be spawning soon and will be easy to catch as they make fantastic table fare. The Lake Okeechobee Water Level has lowered a bit down to 12.5 ft which still lets us fish all the areas that are holding fish right now.
