Lake Okeechobee Fishing Guides: Headwaters Lake Fishing Report 8/19/2021
Bill Hayes and his stepson caught some giants today on both artificial and shiners. Fishing this summer has been nothing short of phenomenal! We have seen many days with fish numbers in the ’60s and ’70s with the average being around 40. We are catching fish on top waters, Netbait flex worm, Big Bopper speed worm. As we move into the cooler weather months the fish will start to move up to stage and we will start to catch more and more giant fish. The mornings tend to be slower here than other lakes in Florida but the topwater bite in the pre-dawn hours in second to none. October and November can be the best months of the year due to lower boat traffic and cooler weather so Book your trip today!
