Lake Okeechobee Fishing Guides: Headwaters Lake 10/7/2020
Lake Okeechobee Fishing Guides fishing on Headwaters Lake again and getting it done with another GIANT Bass! John Todd from Jupiter Florida caught this 9lb 9oz. largemouth on a speed worm. We caught about 25 with this being by far the biggest! This lake has produced some giant bass and it has only been open for about 3 months now. As the fall closes in Okeechobee will start to fire up with Giant spawning bass as well. The lakes grass has grown in abundance this summer making the cover for the fish more abundant than the last few years. More cover means more fish! The bass will be feeding voraciously in an effort to fatten up before going into full spawn mode. The ducks and other migratory birds have started to show up early this year as well. The Lake Okeechobee Water Level is over 16 feet which opens up areas of the lake to new areas that have been unfishable in the last couple of years. I am really looking forward to welcoming back some cooler weather and awesome fishing on Lake O! Book your trip TODAY!
