Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Guides
Geoff Deutsch and his son Preston came from Georgia to spend some time with Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Guides. These guys caught on quick how to catch these Okeechobee Bass! We caught a bunch of fish both days on all artificial baits such as swim jigs, swimbaits, spinnerbaits, and speed worms. The lake level has come up so the fish have moved back into the grass and are eating like crazy. As always some days are better than others but we are still catching some fish every day. The average is between 15-25 on artificial with good days being 25+. When the bite is on you can catch them on buzz baits, pop-r, and other topwater baits. The bite dies quickly when the sun comes up this time of year then after that we can still catch them slowing down and fishing speed worms and other slower baits. These two were great to spend the day with and they have already booked to come back again in Oct- Nov! As we fished these last couple of days we saw bluegill beds all over the place with great big bluegill swimming around them. They can be caught throwing a beetle spin or on live worms, crickets, grass shrimp etc.
