Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Guides
Austin Ovington and his girlfriend from Kentucky came down to fish with Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Guides at Headwaters Lake and an amazing day they had! They caught 8 fish over 5lbs with the biggest fish in the photo above. The fish are feeding voraciously in an effort to fatten in preparation for the spawn. We caught these fish on shiners and artificial lures. This lake is one of the most amazing bodies of water I have seen in Florida in a long time. The South Florida Water Management District and Army Core of Engineers have a way of ruining a good thing with the lakes they control either with over spraying or not leaving good enough alone. This property is run and owned by St. Johns Water Management District and they have got this down to a science now. When I was a kid the SJWMD had a piece of property that was comparable in fish quality but much much smaller than HeadWaters in West Vero Beach. Unfortunately, it was on property that had thousands and thousands of acres of orange and grapefruit trees and the citrus canker scare forced them to close that property to the public. Headwaters however is surrounded by other marshes that are great fisheries as well such as Stick Marsh, Kenansville, and Ansin Garcia. This lake WILL be one of the Top Bass Fishing Lakes in the US before the end of 2021!. Book your trip NOW to be one of the first few thousand people to EVER fish this lake and catch your biggest bass EVER! One of the best places to fish in the United States!
