Alan, Jim and Mark from Kentucky enjoyed putting a hurting on 57 bass in under 6 hours. The day was perfect and fishing was fantastic. We even had a few close calls with seagulls as they swooped down to pick up the dead shiners and getting caught in the fishing line. These guys enjoyed the warm weather after a frigid winter for all the northerners this year. They were already talking about making this a yearly fishing trip with the 3 of them. If you haven’t booked your trip for this coming Spring. Book your trip NOW!

Today I had John Roberts and his mother in-law Barb. John has fished with us for years but this is the first time he brought his mother in-law who today caught the biggest bass and caught the most fish as well. I have enjoyed many days with John and some of his employees who come down every year. It was fun watching John’s mother in-law put a whopping on him catching 2 or 4 fish to his 1. We caught approx. 30-35 bass and Barb caught this 6 lb. 6 oz. biggun.

Today I had the privilege of fishing with Pat Lavacca, his son Mark, and grandson Jason and BOY what a day it was! Pat landed one of the top 10 biggest fish of the year being 8 lb. 10 oz. 28 1/2 in Okeechobee Bucket Lips. They caught close to 50 fish and the bite just never stopped! The light winds have let the water clear up a little which has REALLY turned the fish on. We are even starting to see beds show up around the sporadic weeds. I am looking forward to the spring spawn and some more GIANTS being caught with Okeechobee Fishing Guides and Shellen Guide Service. Call us today to book your trip for the upcoming Spring spawn at 863-357-0892 or okeechobeebassfishing.com
