Dane Overfield and Nick Binnert sure had a good day with Okeechobee Bass Fishing catching these 2 beasts. The one on the left weighing 8 lb 2 oz. and the one on the right weighing 9lbs. 9 oz.. We also caught several other nice fish to complete the day at nearly 50 fish total. The bite had been red hot and the big fish are starting to show up as the lake level drops and the Spring spawn turns on. That is is 5 fish over 9 lbs for our team over the last week. Give us a call today to book your trip to catch that fish of a lifetime!

This afternoon I took Nolan, Caleb and Jarred from New Hampshire out. The fish were chewing and we caught 43 bass and several nice fish including this 6 lb. 10 oz swamp donkey. These guys were thankful to be down here in the sunshine instead of back at home where today they got 14 inches of snow. They are going to come back and fish with me again Saturday afternoon as well and I am looking forward to it. They had told me there expectations were set high at 12 fish each and at least 1 over 7 lbs. and they all caught more than 12 and they each caught a nice fish. I guess they will have to come back to catch that 1 over 7. Thanks for coming guys!

Okeechobee Fishing Report

This morning I took Eric Jansen and his son Evan from Dallas, TX. fishing. The morning started with a light breeze from the South East and clear skies and by 9 we had had been rained on slightly twice and up to 20 mph gusts from the North West. With all the change in the weather the fish still played along with both Evan and Eric landing fish over 5 lbs. and Eric’s weighing just under 7 lbs. I will have them again tomorrow and I am sure we will have a good time and catch fish although the temp. in the morning is supposed to be in the low 40’s. The fish are fat and full of eggs and they are eating like crazy. Give us a call to book your trip!

Okeechobee Fishing Report

On this beautiful but frigid morning I had the pleasure of taking Steve Robinson and his wife Patricia from Louisiana out. The wind switched directions blowing the crystal clear water out of the marsh making the fishing tough. We only caught 11 today but 1 of them was this 8 lb. 4 oz. beast that is starting to row up. I really enjoyed hearing their story about meeting at 15 and getting married at 19 and still remain faithful to one another 46 years later. We will be going out again tom. so I will give you an update on how we did. We still have days open in April if you are looking to come down and catch that once in a lifetime Okeechobee Large Mouth.

Alan, Jim and Mark from Kentucky enjoyed putting a hurting on 57 bass in under 6 hours. The day was perfect and fishing was fantastic. We even had a few close calls with seagulls as they swooped down to pick up the dead shiners and getting caught in the fishing line. These guys enjoyed the warm weather after a frigid winter for all the northerners this year. They were already talking about making this a yearly fishing trip with the 3 of them.
