Brock Hardy from Ohio and I fished artificial baits on Saturday and we got a bunch of nice fish. These fish came in less than 2 ft of water and there were lots of them. Throughout the day we probably caught 30 or so bass and lost a few in the weeds that rapped us up in the weeds when they ate it. They were very aggressive today chasing the baits and even busting the lure up on the top several times today. Brock is in the area doing concrete work for a huge warehouse being built. He is already planning a return trip in Feb because we caught so many good fish. If you are planning on coming down to Florida this Fall/Winter you should give us a call and catch some of the beautiful Okeechobee Bass with Okeechobee Bass Fishing! Okeechobee Bass Fishing- Okeechobee Fishing Report 1/8/19
Lonzo Arrowwood and his girlfriend came down from Ohio to fish on Lake O and to enjoy some sun this week. We caught a total of 27 Bass with several fish in the 3-5lb range. The lake was completely glass this morning which has been a rarity this Fall/Winter. Lonzo is Cherokee Indian an has been coming down to Okeechobee since he was a little boy and reminisced about coming down so he had several stories to tell about the lake and fishing here with his dad. Look forward to seeing this couple again in the future and hearing more old Okeechobee stories as well.

Dave Gotsch and his son Conner have been fishing with us for a few years now and they have had some good luck each and every time! Today we caught in the mid 20’s but caught 3 bigguns 1 was 7lbs 7oz. 1 was 7lbs. 2oz. and was one 5lbs. 6oz. The weather was perfect and the fog hung til past 9am making the fish eat like crazy. Although the water is dropping the fish are loving the fact that the bait fish is getting flushed out of deep marsh areas where they have been laid up in the deeper water. These fish were all caught on live wild shiners using shimano stradic reels and gloomis rods.
Bruce Sherman and his sons Bruce, and Sam came to Okeechobee all the way from D.C. to enjoy some fishing time together and catch some Okeechobee Bass. Well, they caught around 50 going through over 10 dozen shiners and catching fish fast and furious for hours! As you can see in the photos all the fish we caught were fat and healthy fish and they were all let go unharmed. This morning the fog hung until well after 10am which may have helped the fish stay active and eating. The days seem to be getting better and better so now is the time to book your trip come on down and enjoy the beautiful weather and awesome bass fishing with OkeechbeeBassFishing.com.
